medi Epico ROMs PRU elbow brace for mobilisation of the radius-ulnar joint (PRU joint) - with adjustable immobilisation
The design of the medi Epico ROMs PRU elbow orthosis enables early functional mobilisation of the elbow in defined ranges of motion. Thanks to various adjustment options, it ensures an optimised and individualised course of therapy: in flexion (flexion) or extension (extension) and - thanks to the hand support - in pronation (inward rotation) and supination (outward rotation). In addition, the elbow is protected from unhealthy movements by the guide and the defined movement limitation, which can reduce pain.
medi Epico ROM PRU can be used when early functional mobilisation with movement limitation of the elbow joint and immobilisation of the proximal radius-ulnar joint are required, for example in the case of
- surgical refixation of the medial and / or lateral collateral ligaments
- conservative treatment of elbow dislocations
- surgical treatment of elbow dislocation fractures
- medial or lateral collateral ligament plasty
How the medi Epico ROMs PRU work
The extension and flexion limitation can be adjusted in 10° increments from -10° to 120°. If immobilisation is necessary, the Quick-Lock mechanism enables the desired immobilisation.
Thanks to the flared and adjustable hand rest, the pronation and supination movement of the forearm can be individually adjusted and the proximal radius-ulnar joint (proximal = towards the centre of the body, radius = radius, ulna = ulna) can be immobilised. This adjustment of the forearm rotation (in 0°, 25°, 50° or 75°) ensures relief of injured or operated structures.

Among other things, the light weight of the medi Epico ROMs PRU and the flared hand support with comfortable material ensure high wearing comfort - even with severe swelling of the hand.
medi Epico ROMs PRU is available in sizes S and L and in two versions for the left and right arm.
