medi is the ’Official Medical Partner of the German National Ski Teams (DSV)’ and ‘Official Medical Partner of the Bavarian Olympic Training Centre (OSP)’. The exchange of experiences with athletes, coaches and officials is of great value to medi: the positive feedback from competitive sports confirms how well medi products are already performing in terms of functionality and quality. Since 2002, medi has been supporting professional skiers in the alpine, cross-country and biathlon disciplines with various products, whether as important therapy components after injuries, as support during training or when travelling: As a manufacturer of supports and orthoses, medi supports top athletes in training, competition and rehabilitation. The high-tech products have to withstand high sporting stresses, while the experience of top athletes is incorporated into product development.

Co-operation between medi and the Bavarian Olympic Training Centre (OSP)

medi has been equipping around 850 national squad athletes with high-tech products since 2022, making it a reliable medical partner for the Bavarian Olympic Training Centre. The partnership focuses on prevention and health promotion as well as maintaining and supporting young and top athletes. Volker Herrmann, Head of Support Centre at the Bavarian Olympic Training Centre: ‘Even though we always try to avoid them, injuries are as much a part of competitive sport as victories and defeats. It is important to provide our athletes with the best possible care, from diagnostics to therapy and rehabilitation. The products from medi help to prevent possible causes of injury and restore the performance and resilience of our athletes more quickly.’ The athletes of the OSP Bavaria are equipped with supports and orthoses as well as sports compression products from the CEP brand.
